Dave Constantino
Dave Constantino has played professionally since age 13, and has taught guitar and bass guitar at Limelite Music since 1987. As a founding member , lead singer and guitarist for the rock group “Talas” , he has toured the United States with performances in Japan and Canada, opening for Van Halen, Aerosmith and many other national acts. Currently , he performs with The Dave Constantino Band , and has completed one CD with this group. He is well versed in many styles of music, including ‘60’s rock, blues, classic rock and and heavy metal. See his website @ DaveConstantino.com
Dan Horning
Dan Horning has taught guitar , violin, banjo and bass guitar at Limelite Music since 1999. A seasoned performer with several years of experience in live bands, he currently performs with the New York Rockin’ Revue. See their website @ NYRockinRevue.com He teaches many styles from country to rock.
Jeff McLeod
Jeff Mcleod has been playing live music, recording and writing in the music scene since 2001. He currently arranges all music and plays guitar in the band Lazlo Hollyfeld, which has done two national tours. (See their website at LazloHollyfeld.com ) He attended SUNY at Fredonia, where part of his studies included courses in written and aural theory. Jeff brings a friendly, fresh and modern approach to teaching, and is versatile in the many styles of guitar that he’s proficient in – from classical to rock.
John Murphy
John Murphy has played for forty years and been teaching guitar since 1984. He began playing professionally thirty years ago, playing folk, rock and blues of the ‘70’s era. He became involved in the local jazz culture , attending jam sessions and working for band leaders. He currently is the guitarist for “Natural Elements”, a jazz band that plays regularly, and is often featured at the Roycroft Inn.
John Zydel
John Zydel has 30 years experience playing Electric & Acoustic Guitar. He is a graduate of Villa Maria College with a degree in Music Theory / Performance and was a member of the college Jazz Band.
In the 1980's he performed Lead Guitar / Vocals for the Top 40 Rock Group, The Shea Bros Band and played throughout Western New York in Clubs, Colleges, Schools and recorded studio music for radio commercials.
John is a dedicated Instructor with 18 years experience at Limelite Music. He Teaches his students how to:
- Read Music
- Learn Chords - All types: major, minor, maj7's, min7's, augmented and diminished
- Scales
- Ear Training. Very important to learning songs on your own.
- Compose a practice schedule to help develop the student's playing style.
Kevin Doyle
Kevin Doyle has been teaching at Limelite Music for 5 years with 10 years of teaching experience. He has played with ensembles of jazz notables such as John Bacon, Jr., Elvin Shepard and Blues artist Count Rabbitt. He studied theory with Russell Messina among others and was mentored in jazz performance by pianist Al Tinney.
He has 20 years of experience playing, arranging and directing latin ensembles with Los Caribes, Wendell Rivera’s Latin Jazz All Stars, and as a leader with the Latin Jazz Project. The Latin Jazz Project has been in residence at the Anchor Bar on Saturdays for six years.
